Moses, one of the greatest men in history, was a man with a plan.
Most of you probably know the story of Moses. A young Jewish baby saved and raised by the Egyptian princess. Lived as Egyptian nobility until he saw the corruption against his own people, took capital punishment into his own hands and then fled the country as an exile.
While in exile, God came to him with a plan. The plan was to rescue the Israelites from their Egyptian bondage. God wanted a nation; Moses was to talk to Pharoah. “Come, I will send you to Pharoah that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” [Exodus 3:10]
Moses is one of the greatest leaders of the Old Testament – in Jewish thought Moses is the greatest man to have walked the earth. Something important to note about this great leader, though, is that he also had one of the most profound relationships with God. After meeting with God, Moses’ face shone [Exodus 34:29-35]. That is an important foundation for any spiritual leadership – that we are grounded spiritually.
Moses was a spiritual man with a practical plan.
